I work at a hotel as an event planner. Anytime a group wants to plan an event at the hotel they have to speak with me. If they want extra help planning the event the hotel splits a percentage of the revenue with me.  Last month I received a really nice commission check when all the VW Dealers in the state meet at the hotel for a convention. I was asked to plan the whole event. Everyone was so pleased with the way the whole thing was organized that they booked in advance to hold it at the hotel again next year.
