I’ve been at my place of employment for the last 15 years. During that time, the owner-chairman of the company hasn’t changed. Two months ago, he decided to retire and sold the company to a foreign investment capital group. When we employees were informed of this ownership change, we naturally were all worried for all of our jobs. The new owners assured that our jobs are safe, for the time being. However, I’ve decided that I’m going to look into owning a retail store franchise type, small business, so that I have more control over my situation.
