I’ve seen sites that had copywriting contests where the only pay off was a boosted ego. I couldn’t believe that people fell for this type of trickery. The site would state that anything written on it was the sole property of the site owner and the writer relinquished all copywriters to the copywriting they put into the contest! Many people don’t realize that copywriting is actually worth money to alot of people. A great article, or a well written ad (that doesn’t appear to be an ad!) can generate for the copywriter a great deal of income! Giving it away is simple crazy!
