I have been a customer for many different insurance companies, for many different insurance products. Perhaps, the most frustrating for me is when dealing with Household Insurance, especially of the landlord variety. I have used Nationwide, American Family and now Allstate. I normally despise Allstate, but for some reason I continued to have problems with the others. First Nationwide, wanted to over double my rate for my home because I converted it to a rental. So then I moved onto American Family, who was great for the first year, until they added a surcharge to my policy because my home was over 75 years old. Then I found myself at Allstate, who is much more affordable, however my agent is not as well educated as I would have liked on the whole house insurance end of things. Go figure, when I finally needed my insurance, no thanks to some copper thieves, my insurance company refused to pay, except for a broken door.
