Swine Flu is on everyone’s mind this flu season as they all rush out in mass to get vaccinated. Of course, children, teachers, and health care workers are on the top of the list because no one wants this disease to spread to the young and ill especially – but what about pockets of the population that may feel safer not getting treated? Undocumented immigrants make up a large population in some cities, but can be found in small numbers almost anywhere in the United States. They are just as susceptible to getting swine flu as anyone else, and spreading it, but health officials are worried that they won’t come in to get the vaccine. Almost everywhere you go to get vaccinated will not ask for residential status, all they want is for people who should get the vaccine to get it and stay healthy.
