My sister-in-law has never understood math. As a result, her children struggle with it as well. It’s frustrating to her, because they come home with math homework and she can’t help them with it. She has tried to ask her husband, but he is way too hard on them. He isn’t their dad, so he doesn’t understand their difficulties. Personally, I think she needs to look into getting some tutoring for them. There are a lot of good tutors that charge reasonable rates, and I think that they could give her boys much more effective tuition than their step-dad. They would understand their homework better, and they wouldn’t feel so beaten down that they wanted to cry. I haven’t suggested a tutor to her yet, but I think I am going to the next time I see her.

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot on what course to take in college. My mom is a teller in one of the largest banks in the US and my DAD is in a police. My dad and I are close and he always told me that whatever I decide to have in college, he will support me. I told me that I wanted to become a csi and he seems interested too. I told him that I only wanted to attend to any top forensic science schools in the country. I find their job fascinating and challenging and I think I’ll excel well in that field. I’m doing well at school at present and I know that I need a good education to be able to quality for this course.

I hate to be controversial, but I really hate the fact that so many fun things have been taken out of our school like Christmas. How is celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ offensive? Even many non-Christians celebrate Christmas even if they don’t appreciate the Gospel of jesus christ.  I would be happy to join in on any other celebrations from other cultures and feel it can be part of the education process. Why do we make these changes for the minority? It’s frustrating. So today instead of Halloween, we’re having “United Nations Day”. What the heck? So my kids get to wear things that represent their nation.

Last night my husband and I went shopping for Halloween costumes while our gay mormon friend babysat our children (and even nicer, she said she would watch them anytime she has the day off). I saw so many things I could’ve made into good costumes, but they just weren’t my size. One fuzzy yellow sweater did look like it would fit me, but I couldn’t figure out how I would incorporate it into a costume, unless I was just going as a woman with really bad tasted in clothing. My gay mormon friend thought maybe I could’ve been a bumble bee.
