The myth that you can burn tummy fat and lose weight just by doing sit ups is one that should remain just a myth as this is so far from the truth. If you want lose that tummy fat for good then you can go to exercises for a flatter tummy. Sit ups are good for increasing your muscles around the tummy area but it doesn’t burn fat, it just builds muscle. If you just do sit ups and don’t do any other exercises, it can actually make your stomach area appear larger. This is because you are increasing your muscle size but not reducing the fat in the stomach. So you are just forcing the layer of fat further out. Do do this as this does not look good.
