I live in a historic house, and like to keep everything as close as possible to the way it would have been when it was built. I want my house to be authentic to its time period. At some point before we moved in, someone had replaced the flooring with some very tacky carpet, and I would like to restore it so that it is closer to its original appearance. Does anyone know where I might find antique flooring for sale? I think when they put in the carpet they probably damaged the floor underneath, and I am afraid to pull up the carpet without a way to replace any damaged flooring.
