One of my favorite foods in the world is strawberries. It’s about the only thing I grow on my patio and I usually end up going to a farm to pick a few buckets of them each year. A friend of mine tagged along this past summer and of course asked me after we got home, "What can I make with all these strawberries"?

That’s easy :) Eat them by themselves. Freeze them and use them in smoothies later. Use fresh or thawed strawberries on ice cream or in almost any type of cake. Make strawberry ice cream or strawberry flavored yogurt. Of course you can also turn them into strawberry preserves or jelly.

Then there are strawberry muffins or strawberry bread. And for a more adult dessert, poach them in some white whine or champaign with a little bit of sugar and serve with whipped cream. Yummy
