Is It Appropriate To Throw Away Birthday Cards?
Have you ever had the same dilema that I have when it comes to birthday cards. It was a nice thought by those that gave them to you, but just how long must you hold onto that card before it is considered politically appropriate to throw them out?
I have plenty of paper in my home and do not wish to hang onto things that I really do not need. However, with birthday cards it is sometimes hard because I do not want to seem ungrateful for the card. However, will I ever look at that card again? probably not. So how long must i hold onto it before I can throw it away without any guilt? perhaps I will experiement this year by throwing one card a day away, starting the day after my birthday and then perhaps I can decide just how long you must hold onto a birthday card before throwing it away without guilt.
