When I was divorced, I had a job that paid well over $100,00 / year. The industry I worked in is now all but gone and I am making nowhere near the same income. Can I petition the courts to have my Alimony payments reduced? I am literally having to pull money out of my savings account and 401k to make this payment each month. Those accounts are getting very low now and I just do not make enough to continue making the payments as well as my own living expenses. I need my payment cut by at least 40%, is this possible?
