When I was visiting Hong Kong I loved to walk whenever possible. This got me into a lot of places that were not usually visited by tourists and really opened my eyes to what it was like to live in a large Chinese city. One of the things I noticed were two specific signs everywhere written in both Chinese and English. One said Do Not Spit and the other said Watch Out For Pickpockets. I recently purchase cufflinks silver and had them engraved. One side were Chinese characters and on the other side the English equivalent saying Do Not Spit and Watch Out For Pickpockets.
