After I visited my friend in the hospital, I knew I wanted to become a nurse. When I graduated from high school, I started looking into attending nursing school, and there were no openings at any of the colleges near me. One of the career counselors told me that I should become an lvn online, and that I would finish the program before being accepted to their own nursing program! I found the program that she recommended, and I signed up. I was able to take my courses at my convenience, and it was affordable. I completed a preceptorship in a hospital, and now I work in the medical unit.
