Sony has just announced that instruments used for Rock Band 2, Guitar Hero World Tour, and Rock Revolution will be interoperable on the PS3. According to PS3 News, Michael Shorrock, Sony Computer Entertainment PR director, both the drum kit and the guitar from Neversoft’s Guitar Hero World Tour (GHWT) and Harmonix’s Rock Band 2 (RB2) will be able to work with each other and vice versa. Also, the drum kit and guitar from both video games would be able to function with Zoe Mode’s Rock Revolution, while the drum kit of Rock Revolution will be operable with both GHWT and RB2. Lastly, Shorrock stated that the microphones from Zoe Mode’s SingStar will be fully functional with both GHWT and RB2.
