Having made the decision on which of the luxury accommodation taupo options we would go for all we had left to do was figure out whether we would fly or drive down there. Seeing as it was already costing us a fair bit for the lodge we were staying at we thought we should not really spend the extra to fly. As it happens there was a good sale on with one of the airlines and we actually managed to buy two return tickets for about the same as we would have spent on petrol, so of course we went with the flights.
